About the role
We are looking for a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer with university-level teaching experience and a high level industry expertise to join our team to teach and contribute to the administration of a number of modules and programmes in Journalism. We are looking, in particular, for experience in political and investigative journalism, broadly conceived, to strengthen and expand our existing provision.
About Journalism at Bath Spa University
Journalism is offered as a practice-based and industry-informed subject, usually in combination with Publishing and working across a variety of platforms. Students learn to work independently and also in creative teams, producing high-quality work. Our provision is increasingly interdisciplinary, and there are opportunities to develop connections with History, Politics and International Relations, Environmental Humanities, and Philosophy within the School, as well as with subjects outside it – science or arts journalism, for example. We are looking for applicants who can embrace these possibilities, and who are pro-active in finding ways of realising them. In the first instance, you will be able to deliver and develop modules in International and Investigative Journalism.
