About the role
As a member of our Library and Learning Services team you’ll play a key role in the design and delivery of high-quality, innovative and student-centred workshops and teaching activities to support the development of students’ academic skills You will be required to provide Writing and Learning Centre services to students in person or online. You will liaise with academic staff to ensure workshops align with the curriculum. You will develop and create high-quality and accessible online academic skills resources. You will also be required to complete administrative tasks related to the role and to make decisions related to learning development provision in the manager’s absence.
About you (requirements)
You’ll be enthusiastic and committed to providing a high quality, customer focused service to our staff and students. With a degree or equivalent you will have a good knowledge of academic writing conventions in UK HE as well as sound knowledge of pedagogical principles. You will have excellent ICT skills and the ability to use a range of software packages. Self-motivated and able to work well within a team, you will work well under pressure and you will welcome change as our service responds to new opportunities. Reliable and flexible with an eye for detail, you’ll be committed to helping others get the most from our service.
