About the role
This is an exciting new role developing successful outcomes for graduates from Bath Spa University. This is a varied role managing a caseload of graduates/finalists and leading on projects to develop support, opportunities and resources to help our recent graduates make an effective transition into highly skilled work, further study or business start-up. You will manage an Employability Coach who will provide specific support to graduates/finalists on finding and successfully applying for opportunities.
Whilst some of the role will involve providing high quality individual advice and guidance to graduates/finalists on their future this role will also focus on creative solutions to ensure that all graduates/finalists have the support, opportunities and tools to progress into a successful career.
You will not work in isolation but will join an experienced, dedicated and professional team who are passionate about improving employability. You will also build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to benefit graduate success and raise the profile of our graduates and their talents.
About you (requirements)
You will be a creatively minded self-starter who feels confident in developing projects to deliver successful outcomes for Bath Spa University graduates. You will be effective in managing these projects as well as able to build effective relationships with stakeholders that would help deliver these projects. You will have experience of delivering high quality information advice and guidance particularly in relation to career development.
You should be committed to professional development. This is a varied role focussing on a wide range of work needed to deliver successful graduate outcomes. We therefore don’t expect the candidate to be an expert in all aspects of graduate destinations but be willing to develop so they can develop projects and tailor their advice to the graduate/finalist.
You should be committed to equality helping to break down barriers that might prevent graduates making a successful transition into highly skilled work, further study or business start-up.
You will be a skilled communicator, negotiator and persuader to advocate on behalf of our graduates. You will use your own initiative to carry through ideas but be able to realise those ideas as part of a team. You should be an adept problem solver and able to manage your time effectively. You should be IT literate and able to adapt to new technologies and grasp the importance of data in evaluating impact.
