About the role
The Go Global Team is seeking an Coordinator for our American University Programme from 1 January up to 30 June 2022 to act as a first point of contact for the visiting US students from American University (AU), Washington DC, and to be responsible for providing administrative support for the American University Cornerstone Programme in Bath.
Reporting to the International Projects Manager, the role is responsible for organising key elements of support for the US students whilst they are studying here on the Bath Spa University Campus and to create better educational outcomes/experiences for US students through the programme.
About you (requirements)
The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual with a strong student focus. They will be responsible for the delivery of superior support services for the AU students and providing academic support and acculturation services for visiting students. They will possess intercultural skills necessary to work closely with students, programme staff, and the university teams on both the Bath Spa University and American University campuses. They will be the first port of call for students and staff and will be responsible for dealing with all queries received both face-to-face and via the telephone and email. They will be responsible for organising and accompanying the AU student on no less than three field trips/excursions/social activities, keeping to the budget allocated. They will also be responsible for assisting the International Projects Manager with the academic logistics, including but not limited to updating student data, attendance monitoring, updating Minerva, preparing Student Forums, student evaluations, and helping with the process of assessments. They will coordinate the delivery of student orientation activities working with the rest of the Go Global team, which may at certain times of year involve evening and weekend work.

The Go Global Team sits within the wider Research and Graduate Affairs (RGA) team, although we are predominantly undergraduate focused in our work we fit within RGA for our International focus. We are a busy, supportive and relationship-building focused team, working on a range of initiatives to help students study, work and carry out research abroad. In Go Global we support students in both directions (incoming and outgoing) through their international experience. The student experience is at the heart of everything that we do.
